Enrichment Day Dancing
Year 7 students enjoyed a ‘Dance Off’, followed by a Celebration Assembly on the last day of the Autumn Term.
A local dance group Vengence!, led by and featuring past and present students of the school, conducted a dance workshop, teaching students some basic moves, before many performed during an hour celebration of the Year Group’s fantastic start to Highgate Wood.
In addition to newly trained dancers, we were treated to wonderful performances from the Year 7 Drama Club, The Nerve – a live music group of Year 7’s, The Year 7 Choir, a presentation from ‘Lets Get Cooking’ -the Year 7 cooking club, and ‘Thriller’ performed by some more experienced dancers within the group.
It was a fantastic event, made possible by the cooperation, hard work and enthusiasm by all students in the Year Group.
Well Done Year 7!!

Enrichment Day Cinema Trip - 4th December
The Year 7 Enrichment Day Cinema Visit on 4th December was a huge success. Despite the walk to the Cinema, and a longer than anticipated wait in the cold, the students remained in very high spirits, conducted themselves impeccably, and proved themselves to be a real credit to the school.
Both students and staff really enjoyed the Film – Fantastic Mr Fox.

Dear Year 7 Parent/Carer,
Following the very positive and well attended Year 7 PSA meeting, I have decided to set up a Year 7 PSA Working Group, with a parental representative from each of the nine tutor groups.
The group will meet once a half term, to discuss parental concerns, and work together to improve the teaching and learning experience for all children within the Year Group. Furthermore, it is hoped that this would increase and develop parental involvement within the Year Group, and ensure regular communications between parents, the PSA and the school.
The role of each representative is largely a social one, helping parental relations within the Tutor Group, encourage networking and communications, and to listen to any concerns or suggestions you would like to be put forward to the PSA and School.
